19th Annual ICMAC Orlando 2017
On 1 July 2017, Amanda Wang competed in the 19th Annual International Chinese Martial Arts Championship and won two gold medals.
“This time last year, I had never picked up a sword and I was still very new at Bagua Zhang. This year, at the International Chinese Martial Arts Competition (ICMAC) in Orlando, I won Gold in Women’s Beginner Northern Shaolin division with jian, and Gold in the Women’s Beginner Bagua division. I am grateful to my Shifu, David Cheng, for his many hours of instruction. And, of course, to my family, who has supported me during my training. I wouldn’t be here without them.” – Amanda Wang
